At the beginning, I like to work closely with my clients to establish their personal style, and better understand their hopes for the project, this will then help to deliver a comprehensive brief, and from there we can provide a range of personalised interior services to suit their specific needs. 

 

Along with a comprehensive list of my process below, there are a number of further design services which I offer, which can feed into these to provide a more comprehensive service.

Initial Consultation 

This can be face-to-face or over a phone call, where we can talk through your personal design style, what you like, what you don’t like, and what you aim to achieve through hiring me to help you with this process. At this point I will invite clients to share a Pinterest board with me, and ask them to pin images of aspects of design which they like, in order to gain a solid visual reference of their aesthetic aspirations at this stage. 

 

The Brief 

I will develop a brief which includes a summary of what we discussed, as well as a quick Q&A on the back of the information gleaned from the shared Pinterest board, and from this I will go on to generate a moodboard. This will form a visual reference for the design, and a more focused way for us to tackle the next stage of the process. 

 

Draft Design

Following on from your feedback from the moodboard, I will then develop a design. This will typically just be the one option presented at this stage, however it will come with ideas or suggestions on how you can make subtle adjustments to suit your taste. It is at this stage that we may provide 3D visuals of the room to gain a better understanding on how the space will look and feel. 

 

Refined Design 

Following a full review the initial design concept, I will make any adjustments required, and then present to you the final design package. This will include your moodboard, design concept sketches, a comprehensive set of drawings (room plans, sections and elevations - where relevant), any detailed drawings for bespoke joinery items, 3D visualisations, a detailed and itemised personalised shopping list, and material and paint samples where relevant.
